Requirements

Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Current CPR certification required
Ability to stand and sit for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each
Ability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
Frequent hand, finger, wrist, and foot movement
Ability to make precise coordinated movements to grasp and manipulate objects
Ability to squat, crouch, sit on one's heels, walk, bend, and twist at the waist
Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
Hearing acuity essential
Correctable near and far vision; specified visual acuity requirements
Ability to communicate, listen to, and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences
Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
Ability to perform a wide range of tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32 degrees F
Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-gear
