Registered Nurse RN Ambulatory Outpatient Surgery - 1125 E. Michigan Ave
Rotating Shifts with start times between 5:30am - 8:00am. No weekends/holidays - 36 hours per week with Full Time Benefits
Candidate Preferences: Looking for OR circulating experience. Pre/Post/Surgical experience preferred. Will consider previous ER or ICU experience. BLS, ACLS, and PALS preferred.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates with the healthcare team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification as a regulatory requirement in Michigan or a community standard, works independently and collaborates with the principal investigator when appropriate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains current clinical knowledge in your area of specialty. Ability to perform a variety of professional nursing services and communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer skills and keyboarding abilities.
If ADN, must be willing to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of start date and obtain your BSN within 5 years.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Certification will be required when mandated by Michigan regulations or community standards, e.g., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
