Job summary

Westchester Village, a premier senior living community in Lenexa, KS, is seeking a dedicated RN to provide comprehensive nursing care for residents across care levels. The RN will collaborate with physicians, families, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and safety.

Responsibilities include daily rounds, assessment and intervention for changes in condition, infection control, and ensuring effective handoffs between shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license per Kansas Board of Nursing.
• Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Shifts: In general, we offer 12-hour shifts for our RN positions. We have openings for full-time (30+ hours weekly), part-time (up to 29 hours weekly), and PRN (As Needed) positions.

Days: 6am-6:30 pm

Nights: 6pm-6:30am

Role

We are seeking a dedicated RN - Registered Nurse to join our team! The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of residents in the Community, as well as effectively communicating with team members, families, physicians, and allied health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure provision of quality nursing care in accordance with Federal, State, and Company requirements based on acuity of residents
• Make daily rounds to each resident to ascertain the resident’s condition and comfort
• Follow safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety
• Follows infection control guidelines
• Initiate procedures to protect residents from injury and infection
• Assess and evaluate the resident's change of condition and institute appropriate interventions
• Communicate with the Physician as indicated by the resident's needs or status and assure follow through; maintain hand-off communications with the oncoming shift regarding resident care needs.
• Oversees direct care staff and ensures staff complete tasks and cares as assigned.
• Speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner.
• Ability to apply principles of basic general math.
