Qualifications

• Current state RN license (active)
• Experience in geriatric care preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to supervise and coordinate care with nursing staff
• English reading/writing/speaking at an intermediate level or higher

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care with compassion, precision, and professionalism
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate care for residents
• Ensure high standards of quality care and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes
• Direct and monitor nursing care by Nursing Assistants
• Assist Nursing Assistants with resident care as needed
• Document in care plans, MARs, and nursing records
• Report changes in condition to RN leadership
• Maintain medication administration and proper storage

Location: Elderwood at Lockport

Position Type: Regular Full-Time

Shift: Various shifts available

What You’ll Do as an RN

• Provide direct nursing care with compassion, precision, and professionalism
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate care for residents
• Ensure the highest standards of quality care and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional outcomes
• Direct and monitor personal care duties and nursing care procedures carried out by Nursing Assistants
• Assist Nursing Assistants with direct resident care as necessary
• Report unusual symptoms, changes of condition, daily needs, and progress to the RN Unit Manager/Assistant Unit Manager or Charge RN Supervisor
• Follow the Plan of Care and monitor Nursing Assistants in its implementation
• Receive and manage medications according to policy and maintain proper storage and distribution
• Document in care plans, Nursing Notes, MARs, Treatment Records, and other required records
• Monitor and uphold resident rights and preferences in care and treatment

Qualifications

• Credentials as a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a current state license
• Experience in a geriatric setting is preferred
• Ability to supervise and work well with others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Caring, respectful attitude and ability to work with residents
• Physical stamina for constant activity
• Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate level or higher
