Job summary

Trevida Healthcare is seeking a Unit Manager to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, policy development, staff coaching, and working closely with physicians during rounds to meet resident needs; RN licensure and long-term care experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current RN license in the state.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in long-term care and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists the DON with planning, directing, and supervising the activities of the nursing staff.
• Ensures the Nursing Department is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop, implement and update department policy and procedures when necessary.
• Assists with staffing to ensure Resident needs and regulatory requirements are met at all times.
• Participates in Federal, State and Local agency annual surveys.
• Reviews any deficiencies noted by government agencies during inspections and assists with the implementation of changes needed to correct any deficiencies found.
• Completes annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff. Provides guidance and education to staff in regards to their performance.
• Maintain accuracy of patient records
• Report and investigate incidents thoroughly and timely
• Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical needs of each patient
• Assist physicians during rounds
• Provide guidance and training for aides
• Demonstrates proficient nursing skills
