+ **Status:** Full Time

+ **Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

+ Every other weekend requirement

**Requirements:**

+ RN (Registered Nurse) License

+ RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice -

CCRN, CDN or CNN

+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing OR BS Healthcare related field OR an RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion

+ 18-month's experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting

+ BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

+ ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The **Charge Registered Nurse – ICU** responsibilities and skills:

+ Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

+ Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

+ Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care

+ Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.

+ Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition

+ Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients

+ Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge

+ High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

+ Professional accountability and development

+ Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team

+ Developing self and team members and sharing organizational information
