Trinity Health is seeking a part-time nurse for the Livingston/Brighton Surgical Services. About the Department
The Livingston and Brighton PreOp/PACUs are a combined 33-bay department located at neighboring Trinity Health Facilities. Brighton and Livingston combine to 8 operating rooms and 2 procedural suites that average 50+ cases per day. Our mission is to provide the highest-quality care to every patient who requires a surgical intervention; both during preparation for surgery and recovery from anesthesia. We care for a wide variety of service lines for patients with an expected same-day discharge: Otolaryngology, Plastics, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Bariatrics. Our nursing staff is supported by department-based Anesthesiologists. We have the distinction of being a Robotic Center of Excellence.
We are open Monday-Friday for planned procedures and weekend on-call coverage for emergency cases. We offer a variety of shift options, low nurse-to-patient ratios
Certifications we offer - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA)
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care.
