Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an RN Resident for the Inpatient Behavioral Health unit in Akron, OH. This full-time, night-shift residency focuses on compassionate patient care while building crisis intervention and therapeutic rapport for individuals in behavioral health crises.

New graduates or those with less than one year of RN experience will participate in a structured core curriculum, work alongside a support coach, and document care in patient records to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required.
• New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate corrective actions.
