Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System seeks an RN - Clinical Risk Manager to lead MVHS’s enterprise risk management program, advancing patient safety and aligning risk strategies with quality initiatives. You will administer the risk management program, document and analyze data, conduct proactive risk assessments, and provide education and consultation to ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• At least 5 years of risk management, clinical, quality or legal work experience required.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MVHS’s clinical risk management program to meet system needs and regulatory standards.
• Conduct risk identification, analysis, evaluation, mitigation and monitoring.
• Review and analyze incident reports related to risk, quality of care, and insurance.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations and coordinate peer reviews.
• Prepare incident summaries and document investigations for regulatory reporting.
• Monitor risk management data and investigate patient harm events.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Quality teams to embed risk awareness.
• Deliver risk management education across MVHS; provide guidance on policies and practices.
