Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to review, abstract, and analyze medical records for compliance and performance improvement. You will work with hospital staff to ensure accurate documentation and reporting, while protecting patient confidentiality and supporting quality initiatives.

Role requires Florida RN license and 1–3 years of risk/quality experience, with 2-year degree and potential preference for a Bachelor's. No travel is required; on-site at Ocala facility.

Qualifications

• 2 year Associate Degree Required
• Florida RN license is required or approved multistate license; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation
• 1-3 years of risk/quality experience required
• 4 year Bachelor Degree preferred
• 3-5 years of risk/quality experience preferred
• No Travel Required
• 1 year experience Required Years of Experience

Responsibilities

• Review, abstract and analyze medical records to monitor compliance
• Interact with medical staff for ongoing performance improvement programs
• Provide accurate and timely information for public reporting
• Educate staff on practice standards and documentation
• Abstract data and enter into required databases
• Monitor compliance with HIPAA and protect health information
• Prepare reports for departments and meetings
• Manage information through COMET, Meditech, and Registries
• Support PI teams and drive process improvement
