Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• Masters in nursing education or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years related experience in health care education, program development, or healthcare leadership
• Valid State Licensure as an RN
• Must possesses basic computer skills, including email use, word processing, basic spreadsheets
• Must be capable of performing occasional on-call coverage

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the quality assessment and assurance (QA&A) program and quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) activities in the facility in accordance with current state and federal laws and regulations.
• Identifies key performance indicators with leadership and establishes monitoring systems to improve resident care and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluates KPI outcomes with department heads to determine actions for improvements and updates to policies.
• Prioritizes QA&A activities focusing on high-risk, high-volume, or problem areas.
• Provides guidance on QA&A/QAPI team meetings and collaborates with facility leaders on priorities and solutions.
• Develops and maintains tracking systems to monitor KPI outcomes.
• Maintains commitment to quality assessment and performance improvement.
• Leads development of clinical grant programs and ensures care meets quality standards.
• Supports plans of action to correct deficiencies identified by inspections or internal reviews.
• Leads and directs QA&A/QAPI projects and ensures timely completion of corrective actions.
• Ensures readiness for health inspections, OSHA surveys, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manages facility risk through teamwork and shared goals for outcomes.
• Collaborates with related departments and community agencies to identify service improvements.
• Conducts rounds to observe care delivery and identify systems improvements.
• Communicates findings to leadership to align ongoing education and quality initiatives.
• Maintains documentation and updates related to QA&A/QAPI activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
