Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Plymouth is seeking an RN Quality Improvement Coordinator to advance patient care outcomes by leading performance improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and PDSA. Under the supervision of the Quality Improvement Manager, you will partner with clinical teams to improve hospital-wide quality and safety metrics and ensure regulatory readiness.

The role requires a BSN and a Master’s in a healthcare-related field, plus at least two years of progressive quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field is required.
• At least 2 years of progressive quality improvement experience in healthcare.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in clinical settings.
• Strong knowledge of performance improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, PDSA, RCA, FMEA).
• Familiarity with accreditation/regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, MassHealth).
• Advanced data analysis and reporting skills; able to interpret datasets and identify trends.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• EPIC experience preferred; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives to improve safety indicators and measures.
• Serve as SME on publicly reported data and registries.
• Support data abstraction processes ensuring data accuracy.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and PDSA to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff to optimize documentation and metrics.
• Translate quality data into reports and dashboards for leadership.
• Participate in quality committees and benchmark against standards.
• Develop indicators and track performance to meet goals.
• Support Continuous Quality Improvement Plan and regulatory compliance.
• Foster collaboration and lead Morbidity and Mortality conferences.
