Job summary

Avera Health in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Avera McKennan Hospital. This day-shift, Monday–Friday role covers 80 hours per two weeks and supports quality improvement initiatives and state/national data submission for ambulatory services.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in the state of practice with 1–3 years of nursing experience, strong teamwork and communication skills, and a commitment to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead ambulatory quality initiatives and monitor national/state indicators.
• Coordinate data abstraction and submission with vendors.
• Plan submission timelines with IT, finance, and medical records.
• Conduct quality reviews and develop improvement strategies.
• Deliver in-services and outreach education on performance improvement.
• Educate leadership on federal/state quality projects and outcomes.
• Ensure tools and forms support compliance and data collection.
• Collaborate with department leaders to capture quality metrics.
