Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for day shift coverage in Sioux Falls. You will provide direct nursing care, coordinate with physicians and the health care team, and educate patients and families on conditions and treatments.

The role requires an active RN license, strong communication, and the ability to work a 6:00am–5:00pm schedule with some weekend/holiday/call responsibilities. PTO is available and opportunities for growth exist.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the care plan to the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by reviewing histories, examining patients, and documenting conditions.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.
