Job summary

Med Career Solutions seeks an RN for a Pulmonary unit in Gainesville, FL. This full-time, permanent night shift with rotating weekends offers a strong benefits package.

Only 1 year RN experience is required. Florida RN license (or compact) is needed. A Nursing Diploma/ASN is required; BSN preferred. BLS is required and NIHSS must be obtained within 30 days of start date. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for pulmonary patients, document results, and administer medications.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required
• Florida RN license or compact license within 60 days
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required within 30 days of start date
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment
• Maintain and review patient records including posting tests and results

Position: RN Pulmonary

Shift: Nights (Rotating Weekends)

We’re currently hiring RNs for a full-time permanent opportunity with a well-established health care organization located in the Gainesville, FL area! ONLY 1 year of RN experience is required!!

What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Pulmonary patients.
• You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

What qualifications you will need:

• ONLY 1 year of RN experience required. Would be open to any setting (LTAC, SNF, Home Health, etc.)
• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• NIHSS certification required must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.

Compensation:

Pay Rate: UP to $43.20/hr. base pay

Shift Diff: $4.25/hr. nights; $3.00/hr. weekends
