Description:Provides professional nursing care to patients in a state-operated facility.Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.Makes nursing rounds and records vital signs.Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatments.Monitors patients on a timely basis and provides immediate medical attention in emergencies.Counsels patients regarding the need for medical referrals when necessary.Participates in staff development and education, orienting new employees.Responsible for overseeing health care for bedridden patients, creating care plans, and teaching health care principles.Performs specialized nursing procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, and dialysis.Directs health care staff assigned to the area and acts as the lead worker during shifts.Performs clerical tasks including documentation of medications and treatments.Arranges medical appointments and manages inventory of medications and equipment.Conducts meetings and serves as an instructor or leader of problem-solving teams as required.Submissions must include a resume and cover letter along with required certification documents.
