Job summary

Denver Health's 3B PCU is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night shift in a 30-bed unit with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio on PCU and 1:2 or 1:1 on ICU beds as needed. The role involves providing evidence-based nursing care, adhering to ANA standards, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree and current RN license in good standing, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• RN license with DORA required.
• Clinical competency standards must be met and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs of individuals, families or communities to identify health or safety problems.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Monitor and report symptoms and changes in patient condition and vital signs.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by responses and conditions.
• Develop and modify patient care plans as indicated by responses and conditions.
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Coordinate with health care team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor all aspects of patient care including diet and activity.
• Supervise less skilled staff.
• Educate patients and families on health education and disease prevention.
