Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. Nights, full-time, 6:30–7:00, with rotating weekends. Bonus incentives include a $15,000 commitment bonus set to support dedicated staff in this role.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with the care team. Requires current RN license and BCLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, with Handle with Care

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS required.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
