Job summary

Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio, is seeking an RN for the Progressive Care Unit on a full-time night shift. A $25,000 sign-on offer accompanies a comprehensive nursing role focused on assessment, planning, and high-quality patient care across age groups.

The position requires Ohio licensure and BLS, with BSN preferred. You will collaborate with the care team to deliver safe, rehabilitative nursing and to support transitions from hospital to home.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred.
• Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses/reassesses patient’s condition based upon observation of patient and interview of patient and/or family, physician’s diagnosis and data, diagnostic results, and relevant data from other healthcare providers. Assessment and reassessment of functional and cognitive deficits as it relates to transition to the community.
• Develop/revise nursing plans of care for assigned patients
• Care for all patients from adolescent to geriatric for medical/surgical/palliative care
• Delivers safe rehabilitation nursing interventions
• Demonstrate critical thinking to provide safe, high-quality care
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members and departments
