Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA is seeking an RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down on a part-time days schedule (2 x 12 hour shifts weekly, some weekends). The role emphasizes high‑acuity nursing care, collaboration, and use of state-of-the-art technology to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, coordinating with the team, and ensuring adherence to standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher preferred (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes.
• Performs patient assessments including data collection on physical and psychosocial health history.
• Organizes data into care plan and identifies outcomes.
• Carries out plan of care to achieve patient outcomes.
• Oversees activities of ancillary and support team members.
• Identifies teaching opportunities and provides resources for education.
• Raises issues to Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager/physician as appropriate.
• Documents patient care accurately in the patient record.
• Engages in continuous professional growth and quality improvement.
