Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Health System, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit on the Night shift (7pm–7am) with rotating weekends in Raleigh, NC. This fast-paced unit handles diverse conditions and offers opportunities to learn advanced skills, including drips and post‑surgical care.

Qualified candidates will have a BSN or be in an approved program, hold NC RN licensure with BLS, and be ready for residency and growth within the DUHS Nurse Residency

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited BSN program.
• Must have current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS required.
• No experience required for entry-level positions; Nurse Residency program described.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other care providers.
• Assist other nursing staff and act as team leader when assigned.
• Monitor and maintain the environment of care and equipment.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
• Precept and support development of staff and learners.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
