1G is a 22‑bed Progressive Non‑ICU unit at Blodgett Hospital specializing in the care of medically complex patients, including those with cardiac arrhythmias and those requiring BiPAP. The unit is known for teamwork, a dedication to excellence, and the opportunity to learn and challenge themselves in a fast‑paced environment.

Scope of Work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably in accordance with the American Nurses Association (ANA) and Michigan state law. Demonstrates competency through the critical‑thinking model that includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds ANA standards of professional performance, ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality of practice, professional evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
