Job summary

Kettering Health seeks an experienced RN Professional Development Specialist to advance nursing education across KH Network. You will serve as educator, mentor, and leader to nursing staff from onboarding through ongoing professional growth.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, BSN with MSN preferred within four years, a specialty certification, and BLS. Minimum three years RN clinical experience is expected, with ED exposure valued.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Ohio required.
• BSN mandatory; MSN preferred within four years of hire.
• Certification in a specialty area required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of three years clinical RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to learning and ethical practice development of nursing staff.
• Acts as educator, career coach, mentor and leader within the organization.
• Guides development of nursing employees from orientation through employment.
• Serves as resource to leadership for education programs, evidenced-based practice and outcomes evaluation.
• Enhances quality and effectiveness of nursing professional development practice.
• Maintains alignment with KH Network missions, vision, values, and nursing philosophies.
• Reports to a Nurse Manager or Nursing Director.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
