Job summary

Wilmington Health Pllc seeks an experienced RN for Infusions at Silver Stream in Wilmington, NC. You will deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process and oversee infusion therapies.

Responsibilities include telephone triage, documenting assessments, coordinating with physicians and scheduling, and supervising LPNs and CMA/RMA. Requires NC or Compact RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• North Carolina or Compact RN license.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Performs telephone triage and relays messages to physicians as needed.
• Coordinates with business office to schedule patient appointments for office and infusion procedures.
• Documents assessments and interventions thoroughly and concisely.
• Oversees LPNs and CMA/RMA in infusion settings.
• Performs infusion procedures: peripheral IV therapy, IV phlebotomy, lab draws, port access.
• Monitors infusion therapy and assesses for reactions/side effects.
• Orders medications and supplies and supports patient education.

Purpose:

The RN is responsible for delivering quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

• Performs telephone triage as needed
• Taking complete, accurate messages from patients and relaying them to appropriate physician
• Collaborates and coordinates with business office staff to schedule patient appointments (includes office, outpatient procedures, hospitals, and other medical facilities)
• Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow-up/intervention
• Documents assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely
• Develops patient education materials, triage protocols, and clinical guidelines in collaboration with physicians
• Uses computer system efficiently and accurately
• Oversees LPN's and CMA/RMA
• Performs specialty procedures as trained and as needed:
  • Peripheral IV therapy
  • IV Therapeutic phlebotomy
  • Lab draws as ordered
  • Access of implanted ports
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Other Duties:

• Ordering medications and supplies
• Monitoring Infusion therapy
• Ongoing assessment for potential reactions/side effects

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
