Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Waco is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead milieu management and direct patient care for adults and seniors dealing with anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. The RN will ensure safe medication delivery and adherence to Joint Commission and regulatory standards in a fast-paced psychiatric setting.

This role requires an active RN license in the state, an associate degree in nursing, and strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to develop individualized plan of care.
• Assess risk levels and discharge planning.
• Apply psychiatric nursing interventions to promote wellness.
• Administer medications safely and provide education.
• Document care and patient responses thoroughly.
• Lead and delegate duties; advocate for patient safety.
• Float among clinical services as needed.
