Job description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a clinical position responsible for the delivery of direct patient care, utilizing the established nursing standards of care and standards of nursing practice for the patient population it serves. Through collaboration with all members of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of and the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC. The Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse Manager and/or the CNO/DON and exercises independent judgement in applying professional knowledge required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified responsibilities in the delivery of quality patient care. This position is safety sensitive and subject to WMRMCs Drug & Alcohol Policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care according to established nursing standards of care and nursing practice for the patient population served.
• Collaborate with all members of the health-care team to support a patient-centered culture and improve quality of patient services at White Mountain Regional Medical Center (WMRMC).
• Exercise independent judgement under the direction of the Nurse Manager and/or the CNO/DON to plan, prioritize and organize diversified responsibilities in the delivery of quality patient care.
• PRN – non-benefited; must be available to work some holidays and weekends.

Required Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Required Experience

• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arizona
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire

Preferred Education, Certifications & Experience

• Bachelors' of Science Nursing
• Two (2) years previous RN experience in patient care setting
