Roxbury Treatment Center in Shippensburg, PA seeks Per Diem Registered Nurses to work on adolescent or adult mental health and substance use units. New graduates are welcome to apply. Typical duties include nursing assessments, medication administration, and care planning within a supportive behavioral health environment.

Qualified candidates hold PA RN licensure (or eligibility) and CPR/BLS certification. Per diem shifts (4) 12's per month are available to meet unit needs in a 112-bed facility.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or eligible to receive/renew).
• Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit aligned with Roxbury's philosophy.
• Prescribe, coordinate and delegate nursing care.
• Complete nursing assessments and document patient progress each shift.
• Facilitate medication administration and patient education with safe practices.
• Respond to crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure safety.
• Attend Treatment Team to aid in developing patient care plans.
• Oversee and direct mental health technicians in patient care activities.
• Be accountable for nursing care activities on a shift and promote professional practice.
• May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.

RN Role/Responsibilities: Registered Nurses will work on our Adolescent or Adult Mental Health Units and Substance Use Disorder Unit

• The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care
• The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift
• The Registered Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices , including patient education
• The Registered Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
• Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans
• Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities
• The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• The Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.
