Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking per diem Registered Nurses to work on Adolescent or Adult Mental Health Units and Substance Use Disorder Unit in Shippensburg, PA. NEW GRADS WELCOME to apply; schedule is (4) 12's per month and includes crisis response and patient education.

RNs will provide professional nursing care, complete assessments, document progress, and participate in treatment planning.

Qualifications

• PA RN license required or eligible for renewal.
• Current CPR or BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on designated units per hospital policies.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care and complete shift patient documentation.
• Administer medications following safety protocols and patient education.
• Respond to crisis/emergency events to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in treatment planning with the care team and supervise staff as needed.

Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. RN Role/Responsibilities: Registered Nurses will work on our Adolescent or Adult Mental Health Units and Substance Use Disorder Unit

• The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care
• The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift
• The Registered Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices , including patient education
• The Registered Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
• Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans
• Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities
• The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• The Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.
