Job summary

Management & Training Corporation seeks an RN for the San Diego Job Corps Center in Imperial Beach, CA. You will deliver nursing care to students, supervise LPNs/LVNs, and ensure compliance with state regulations while promoting student health and wellness.

You will assess health needs, provide immunizations guidance, and monitor ill students. The role is on-site, with aPRN schedule as needed, and requires an unrestricted RN license and a valid driver's record.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to students within the medical provider's authorization and state scope of practice.
• Supervise LPNs/LVNs to ensure compliance with state regulations and nurse practice acts.
• Provide basic health care to students including entry requirements and immunizations.
• Monitor students with illness and those unable to attend class.

Wage: $55.00 per hour

Schedule: PRN- Varies, When needed.

What you will be doing:

You’ll be responsible for treating and preventing minor injuries and illnesses assuring all medical clinical care is provided to students. They will provide information and guidance for the promotion of good health and well-being of our students.

Essential Functions

• Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within scope for state-specific nurse practice act
• Provide supervision to the staff LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurse)/ LVNs to assure compliance with all state regulations and scope of practice and nurse practice act for practical and/ or vocational nurses
• Provide basic health care to students as required by DOL including all entry requirements and immunizations
• Monitor students with illness and unable to attend class.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
