Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Clearfield Job Corps Center in Clearfield, UT. This PRN position provides nursing care to students, supports immunization and health guidance, and supervises LPNs/LVNs to ensure proper nursing practice.

The schedule varies and is designed for work/life balance. The role requires an unrestricted RN license in the state, a driver license, and ideally prior youth care experience.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within state nurse practice act.
• Supervise LPNs/LVNs to ensure compliance with state regulations and scope of practice.
• Provide basic health care to students as required by employment rules and immunization requirements.
• Monitor students with illness and those absent from class.

Wage: $34.00 per hour

Schedule: PRN- Varies, when needed.

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for treating and preventing minor injuries and illnesses assuring all medical clinical care is provided to students. They will provide information and guidance for the promotion of good health and well-being of our students.

Essential Functions

• Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within scope for state-specific nurse practice act
• Provide supervision to the staff LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurse)/ LVNs to assure compliance with all state regulations and scope of practice and nurse practice act for practical and/ or vocational nurses
• Provide basic health care to students as required by DOL including all entry requirements and immunizations
• Monitor students with illness and unable to attend class.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
