Job summary

Management & Training Corporation seeks a registered nurse to support the San Diego Job Corps Center in Imperial Beach, CA. This PRN role focuses on providing clinical care to students and guiding health promotion initiatives on campus.

You will deliver nursing care within state scope, supervise LPNs/LVNs, ensure immunizations and entry requirements are met, and monitor ill students to help them remain engaged with their studies. A valid RN license is required.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in CA.
• Experience working with youth preferred.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within state scope.
• Supervise LPNs/LVNs to ensure compliance with regulations and scope of practice.
• Provide basic health care to students including immunizations and entry requirements.
• Monitor students who are ill and unable to attend class.

Wage: $55.00 per hour

Schedule: PRN - Varies, When needed.

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for treating and preventing minor injuries and illnesses, assuring all medical clinical care is provided to students. You will provide information and guidance for the promotion of good health and well-being of our students.

Essential Functions

• Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within scope for state-specific nurse practice act
• Provide supervision to the staff LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurse)/ LVNs to assure compliance with all state regulations and scope of practice and nurse practice act for practical and/or vocational nurses
• Provide basic health care to students as required by DOL including all entry requirements and immunizations
• Monitor students with illness and unable to attend class.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
