Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is seeking an LVN for the San Diego Job Corps Center in Imperial Beach to treat and prevent injuries and illnesses among students. You will assist in patient care, provide first aid, and support health programs on campus.

The role is part-time (25-29 hours/week) with no late nights, weekends, or holidays, and includes benefits such as health coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off. Valid LVN license and IV/blood draw cert required.

Qualifications

• Valid LVN license in the state of employment.
• IV/Blood draw certification required.
• One year of practical nursing experience preferred.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Render first aid treatment and assist physician in treating serious accidents or illnesses.
• Cleanse and dress wounds, operate emergency equipment and provide follow‑up nursing care as required.
• Prepare and administer specified medications and drugs and assist in developing programs to prevent or control diseases and accidents.
• Perform routine lab tests in accordance with approved standards.
• Monitor students restricted to the infirmary.
• Assist in the management and coordination of pregnancy, weight control, tuberculosis, smoking cessation and other programs as designated.
• Triage, assess chief complaints, take vital signs, do appropriate charting and assist with chart review duties and with patient care.
• Assist physician or mid-level health care provider when needed.
• Maintain clinic facilities in accordance with the highest standards of health care.

• One (1) year of practical nursing experience preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
