The RN coordinates nursing care, provides direct patient care, and educates patients and families, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions of care.

The role supports professional nursing practice, demonstrates leadership in preceptor and quality initiatives, and may require driving a personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program as recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• If from non-accredited program, at least 1 year RN experience or 1 year Mayo Clinic LPN experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and patient/family education.
• Facilitate transitions of care and collaborate with care teams.
• Provide direct patient care and participate in quality improvement.
