Job summary

USPI Parkway Surgery Center in Henderson, NV is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for PreOp and PostOp roles in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. The RN provides quality patient care using the nursing process and follows the medical plan of care, policies, and patient-family centered care across perioperative services.

The position features a Monday–Friday schedule with no on-call, nights, weekends, or holiday hours, and requires at least six shifts per month.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current NV Nursing License.
• 2+ years experience in Pre-Op Post-Op, ambulatory setting preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS accredited by AHA.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.
• Ability to care for patients with changing medical priorities and respond accordingly.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate teamwork and professional ethics.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies.
• The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in perioperative services for all patient populations.
• The RN Pre-op PostOp supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Must be able to work at least 6 shifts/month.
