Job summary

Scripps Health in Encinitas is seeking a PT PACU RN to float to PreOP. The 12-hour shifts start between 7am and 11am, with weekday and weekend call coverage depending on staffing.

Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of RN acute care experience, CA RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Training schedule may be full-time to support development and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care.
• CA RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing, Preop, PACU phase one/two, ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's condition during the post-anesthesia period.
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and respiration.
• Manage pain and nausea.
• Float to PreOP as needed by staffing.

Job description

This is a Part time, benefited, PACU RN position that will float to PreOP. It is located at Scripps Encinitas. The shift is 12 hours with a variable start time between 7am and 11am. There is also weekday call 2330-700, and weekend call 7a-7p, or 7p-7a, that varies depending on staffing. The training schedule would ideally be full time.

Required:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in an acute care setting
• Current CA RN License.
• Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

• PACU phase one and phase two
• ICU experience
