Job summary

Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla is seeking a Casual/Per Diem RN for the PreOp-PACU unit in our new tower. You will provide direct patient care within the perioperative pathway and support a Magnet-level team in a high-quality surgical environment.

The role offers a varied 12-hour shift with start times between 08:30 and 11:00, no required weekend shifts, and opportunities to take additional shifts. California RN licensure is required and ACLS/BLS credentials must be current.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Current CA RN License.
• Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Job description

This is a Casual Status also known as Per Diem position as a RN in the PreOp-PACU department in our brand new tower at La Jolla Memorial hospital. It has a varied 12 hour shift with the start time between 0830-1100. There is not call or weekend shifts, however it is available if you are seeking additional shifts. The training schedule is flexible and based on experience. The minimum availability is 4 shifts per month.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Strongly preferred - PreOp -PACU RN experience
