Job summary

Fish Pond Surgery Center is seeking a RN PreOp/PACU to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients before and after anesthesia. The role emphasizes safety, comfort, privacy, and coordination with the surgical team.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians during procedures with conscious sedation, maintaining sterile technique, and preparing patients for discharge. Weekday schedule only with no holidays or weekends required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care from anesthesia emergence to discharge.

Fish Pond Surgery Center is hiring a RN PreOp/PACU

Welcome to Fish Pond Surgery Center

We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Fish Pond Surgery Center

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
