Job summary

Resurgens East Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Pre Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our full-time team. You will ensure continuity and high-quality care for patients before and after surgery, monitor patients, assist anesthesia, and participate in discharge planning with a focus on safety and comfort.

The role requires an accredited RN degree, active state RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS as needed), and 2 years PACU/ICU experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from anesthesia; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge readiness.
