Job summary

Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital in Arizona is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for our PreOP/PACU team. You will provide perianesthesia nursing care across the age continuum and use the nursing process to guide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities include supervising PAT/PACU staff and, in the director's absence, making decisions to maintain safe patient care. Prior PACU, critical care, or ER experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Graduate of a nursing program and licensed in Arizona.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS & PALS planned within 90 days.
• Able to communicate clearly and work with others.
• Previous PACU/ICU/ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs/provides perianesthesia nursing care for patients across ages.
• Uses the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Supervises PAT/PACU/Pre-op and Pain Management staff.
• May act in absence of PreOp/PACU/PAT Director to support care area.

Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for our PreOP/PACU team!

The Registered Nurse PreOp/PACU responsibilities include:

• Directs and/or provides professional perianesthesia nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care.
• Provides supervision and guidance to other members of the PAT/PACU/Pre-operative and Pain Management staff.
• May be authorized, in the absence of the PreOp/PACU/PAT Director, to make decisions affecting the PAT/PACU Pre-operative and Pain Management area.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Arizona
• Current BLS certification
• Must be able to achieve ACLS & PALS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
• Previous PACU, critical care, or emergency room nursing experience is preferred.
