Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc (USPI) is hiring a part-time Preop/PACU Registered Nurse for the Lakewood Endoscopy Center in Colorado. Under the Pre-Op/PACU manager, you will implement physician orders, provide continuous nursing care, and monitor patients' status as they recover from anesthesia or sedation.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family needs in preparation for discharge, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Colorado Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Experience in PACU/ICU.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide continuous nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care pre-discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed and maintain sterile technique.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

Lakewood Endoscopy is hiring a PT Preop/Pacu RN to join our team!

Preop/PACU Registered Nurse at Lakewood Endoscopy Center:

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current CO Registered Nurse License
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
• ASC experience a plus
• Experience in PACU / ICU required
• Good communication and human relations skills
• Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
• Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.
