Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) and Pre-Surgery Testing (PST). Shifts include 07:30am-6:00pm with a rotating day off, and 11:00am-7:30pm, Monday-Friday. Requires 1 year RN experience and Texas RN licensure with BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program; must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Experience: 1 year of RN experience; specialty areas may require more experience.
• Licenses: Texas RN license (NLC) and BLS/CPR per AHA/ARC.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments for patients of all ages.
• Develop and implement a care plan in collaboration with the health care team.
• Prioritize nursing interventions based on assessment; notify changes in condition promptly.
• Document interventions accurately and timely; participate in care coordination.
• Educate patients and families; provide discharge planning information and follow-up.
• Adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards of practice.
