UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care in Pre-Admission Testing and Pre-Surgery Testing, under supervision. The role supports patient readiness and safety in perioperative care, with emphasis on assessments and care coordination.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of RN experience, read/write English fluently, and hold an active Texas license with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• 1 year of RN experience
• Specialty areas may have increased experience requirements as dictated by unit or standard of care

Responsabilités

• Performs and accurately documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments for patients of all ages.
• Anticipates patient and family needs to develop an appropriate plan of care with the team.
• Identifies and implements nursing interventions based on assessment and documents timely.
• Prioritizes interventions and communicates changes in condition to the care team and patient.
• Documents all interventions, evaluations, and discharge planning accurately and timely.
• Adheres to hospital policies, nursing standards, and evidence-based practice.
• Provides education to patients and families and evaluates understanding.
• Welcomes and orients patients and families.
