Corewell Health's Ambulatory Surgery Center West Bloomfield is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate perioperative care across endoscopy, ophthalmology, and general surgery procedures. You will work with a team of RNs, Surgical Technologists, and support staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

This full-time day shift (7:00am-3:30pm) with Monday–Friday schedule offers 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• RN must be a licensed Michigan RN with current licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing should be obtained within five years of employment.
• NCLEX licensure is required for practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; ACLS within six months.
• Specialty certification is highly recommended within two years.
• Elective experience in PACU, Endoscopy, or ICU is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional nursing care following the nursing process and family-centered care.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers to support procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and quality outcomes through evidence-based practice.
• Document education and care plans in the health record.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient-family teaching.

West Bloomfield is an outpatient facility offering two Endoscopy Suites and an additional 3 ORs. Service lines consist of endoscopy, ophthalmology, podiatry, ENT, breasts, plastics, general surgery, and dental procedures. We provide care for both pediatric and adult patient populations. West Bloomfield utilizes a teamwork approach, comprised of RNs, Surgical Technologists, and Surgery Support Staff to provide compassionate care for patients while supporting surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout the surgical procedure. Patient safety is primary focus, along with providing patient –family centered care.

Scope of work

The RN, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge. The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes. The RN partners with and utilizes patient/family input and goals in planning plan of care and develops teaching strategies for patient/family; documents education and learning appropriately in health record.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing Required
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
• 2 PACU, Endoscopy, or ICU RN experience preferred
