UNC Hillsborough is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Pre-Op and PACU team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, educate patients and families, and monitor high-acuity post-anesthesia patients in a fast-paced, collaborative unit.

Schedule: Mon–Fri, four 10-hour shifts, with some 6am–4:30pm and 7am–5:30pm variations; call for holidays, nights, and weekends. ACLS/PALS required; BLS for healthcare providers. UNC Health offers state benefits and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Licensed RN in North Carolina; BLS certified.
• One year of nursing experience required.
• ACLS must be obtained before working independently; PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required within seven years for hires after Jan 6, 2014.

Responsabilités

• Provide competent clinical nursing care aligned with professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Educate patients and families pre- and post-operatively; manage pain and symptoms.
• Assess and monitor high-acuity post-anesthesia patients with rapid decision-making.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and execute patient care goals.
• Lead and communicate effectively to support unit goals and safety.
