Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta seeks a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and state guidelines.

Candidate must have graduated from an accredited nursing program, hold a Georgia RN license in good standing, and be BLS certified. BSN and additional life-support credentials are preferred; color acuity may apply in specialty units.

Qualifications

• BLS certification as required by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adhere to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
