Job summary

Regent Surgical Health is seeking a Pre Admission Testing RN (PAT) to advocate for patients and coordinate care with the surgical center team. This full-time onsite role supports continuity of care and collaboration with physician offices to obtain essential information for quality patient care.

Responsibilities include comprehensive preadmission assessment, care planning, and nursing interventions, with cross-training in pre-op and PACU.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification as required by ASC policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs to provide quality care during preadmission.
• Develop and communicate a realistic plan of care for each patient.
• Collaborate with anesthesia to pre-screen patients and review lab results.
• Document nursing care thoroughly to ensure continuity.
• Cross-train to pre-op and PACU as needed.
• Communicate arrival times and instructions to patients and physicians.
• Perform duties with professionalism and respect in a team setting.
