Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in West Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse educator to develop and deliver education programs for nursing staff, supervise orientation, and assess competency in a long-term care setting.

The role reports to the Director of Nursing and focuses on enhancing clinical skills, geriatric care, and staff learning. A minimum of 3 years clinical experience is preferred, with educator experience valued.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Nursing.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach staff current accepted patient care and nursing center practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees throughout their individualized orientation period.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluation and clinically appraise nursing staff performance to identify areas for education.
• Provide oversight to Employee Health Program including TB and hepatitis vaccines and influenza immunizations tracking for all employees
