Job summary

Lifepoint Health’s Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Post-Partum, Antepartum, GYN surgery, and M/S overflow. This full-time night position is in-person, with a $20,000 commitment bonus. The unit supports mothers and newborns, education, and family-centered care across interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current RN license to practice in NC.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred in Post-partum or Med/Surg.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care prioritizing safety and reducing medical errors.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on patient condition.
• Provides care appropriate to the patient’s age and condition.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient status to the care team and family.
• Develops and revises individualized care plans.
• Completes and updates the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Delivers education to patients and families considering age and cultural needs.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfers, discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Advocates for patients’ physical and emotional well-being and rights.
