Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System's PACU team at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus provides post-anesthesia care for post-surgical patients. The RN will collaborate with a dedicated team to enhance treatments and create a welcoming, healing environment, with opportunities for PeriAnesthesia coursework and certification.

Caregivers in this role work nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with no on-call, weekends, or holidays required, and may access RN loan repayment, tuition reimbursement, and

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Will consider military RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions.
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
