Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a hospital setting. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and the inter-disciplinary team.

This role requires RN license, CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year of acute care experience; the facility supports advancement, teamwork, and compassionate care across units.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred.
• RN license is required.
• CPR/BLS certification; unit-specific certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the team.
• Administer medications accurately and monitor responses.
• Supervise nursing staff and ensure safe, effective care.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and medications.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures and tests.
• Monitor labs and report abnormal results promptly.
• Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and infection control.
• Document care in the medical record and participate in quality initiatives.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with the team to stabilize patients.
